Large Cup Sized Bra
What is a Full bust and Full-figured bra?
At Hourglass Lingerie we specialize in Full bust and Full-figured lingerie because we know finding the perfect fit isnt easy for us girls with curves. So what exactly is Full bust and Full-figured? Full busted is described as someone who has a small band measurement and a large cup size measurement. For most brands this starts at a D cup and can go all the way up to a K cup and for some brands a N cup. For band sizes, full busted customers tend to range from 26 to 34. Full-figured is the Plus size version of full busted. These customers are plus size, but exceptionally curvy. Band sizes for full-figured lines usually start at a 36 (occasionally at a 34) and go up from there. Cup sizes start at a D cup and up.

How a Bra should fit!
The band is about 80% of the support of your bra. It should fit comfortably around the torso and be parallel to the ground. The band should be snug and you should only be able to fit two fingers between the band and your skin, and should never ride up your back. The straps are about 20% of your support and should stay in place. Straps should not dig into your shoulders. No matter the style you should not have any spillage over the top, sides or bottom, if this occurs you will need a bigger cup size. If there are wrinkles in the bra fabric you will need a smaller cup size. The gore (center band of your bra) should lay flat against your sternum. If your bra does not lay flat against your sternum you will need larger cups. Your underwire should competely surround your breast and lay against the chest wall. The underwire should never dig into chest, underarms or breast. When you first purchase your bra the hooks should be set on the loosest row, this allows you to tighten the bra as the elastic relaxes over time.
What is Sister Sizing?
We all need a sister to fall back on, right?? Welll guess what, your plus size bra has one as well!! This is a secret most women don't know about, your natural bra size has a sister! Sister sizes are alternate sizes where the cup volume stays the same although the band and cup size changes. While sister sizing opens a door of opportunity for more sizes and choices, your sister size might not always work depending on the style and fit. Visit our Sizing Guide to find out your natural size, then we can find out your sister size!
How do I find my sister size?
Sister Size DOWN: One size smaller than your current band size and one letter larger than your current cup. Example: If your natural size is a 42D, your sister size would be a 40DD. ( When doing this always check if the bra you are wearing is U.S. sizing or U.K. and then refer to the sizing chart for the next letter size up or down.)
Sister Size UP: One size larger than your current band size and one letter smaller than your current cup. Example: If your natural size is a 42D, your sister size would be a 44C. ( When doing this always check if the bra you are wearing is U.S. sizing or U.K. and then refer to the sizing chart for the next letter size up or down.)
