As you likely guessed, a Plunge Bra is characterized by a deep neckline that goes right to the center gore (aka the piece of fabric connecting the two cups). It draws breasts together from the center of the cup, creating an enhanced, but natural look.
The cups are angled up instead of flat or rounded, as in a balconette or full-coverage bra. Because of this, they offer a little less coverage than those styles, but do not lose any support! The wider straps sit closer to the shoulder which help to make them easily hidden in clothing without compromising support.
The angled cups also mean the underwire is shorter and therefore leads to less poking and prodding. This is a wonderful feature for women who find higher wires found in other bra styles uncomfotable.
Plunge bras may also come with or without padding, showing just how versatile this bra style can be. Whether there is or isn’t padding, this bra will always be sure to make your cleavage look spectacular.
